About us

This blog will let you know what is going on in Country Matters in Hexton and news from the village, and other interesting goings on.

Country Matters at Hexton offers a choice of homegrown, handmade, home produced and preloved products, along with a few essentials.  We have changed in the last few years and are improving things - so if you have not visited in a while you might be surprised, would love to know what you think.  leave a review on our FB page.

Our craft and general gift shop is situated in the old Village Hall in Hexton, Hertfordshire. We are currently open for three days each week - Thursday, Friday and Saturday 10.30 to 4.30.

We are now able to offer fresh English fruit and vegetables (when in season) and can take orders.

We are now in our eighteenth year, and have many different producers/suppliers and are quite a collective.  A big thank you to all who have supported us, and hopefully will continue to do so.

We can offer simple fare of a cuppa and a sandwich or a roll, normally some pastries from rogers Bakery, and of course some chocolate bars and cans of pop.  During the winter you can sit by an open fire, and in the summer months we have outside seating.
